The role of Design Leader is based in our Exterior & Lighting Business Group in Lozorno, Slovakia.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure product design meets customer quality, weight, recycling, cost, and timing requirements
- Collect and manage all necessary technical inputs from the customer
- Analyze feasibility and lead design development internally or with Tier-2 suppliers
- Manage technical information flow with CAD teams, suppliers, and customers
- Lead design reviews, define action plans, and monitor CAD timing milestones
- Propose technical solutions and support the Engineering Project Manager
- Build geometry files and define part and product reference systems
- Define and formalize tuning zones for tooling realization
- Follow part realization and technically validate assembly drawings
- Capitalize and document design lessons learned throughout the project lifecycle
Requirements:
- University degree in Mechanical, Automotive, or Engineering field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in design of injection-molded plastic parts
- Proven ability to lead product design activities and CAD engineers
- Strong knowledge of design-for-manufacturing principles
- Experience in automotive product development environments
- High level of technical proactivity and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
- Willingness to travel as required
- Driving license B
- Fluent English (B2 level or higher)
