Electrical Apprentice

Position Summary: The Electrical Apprentice will assist a licensed electrician with the installation or maintenance and inspection of electrical systems and associated processes. 

Role and Responsibilities:

• Regular attendance at assigned location that may include office or other project sites
• Assist in preparing sketches showing location of wiring and equipment, or follow blueprints, ensuring that concealed wiring is installed before the completion of future walls, ceilings, and flooring
• Assist in measuring, cutting, bending, threading, assembling, and installing an electrical conduit
• Participates in wire installation with conduit and cable trays
• Perform other routine duties as directed by workplace leader
• Avoid unsightly, hazardous, and unreliable wiring, consistent with specifications and electrical codes
• Help to connect power cables to equipment, such as motor, and installs grounding leads
• Observes functioning of installed equipment or system to determine hazards and need for adjustments, relocations, or replacement
• Perform additional duties as directed by foreman or project manager

• At times may perform clerical/administrative duties

Educational & Experience Requirements:

• High School Diploma
• 3 years of Field Experience, trade school or apprenticeship
• OSHA 10 certification
