
Electrical Apprentice
Job Description
Position Summary: The Electrical Apprentice will assist a licensed electrician with the installation or maintenance and inspection of electrical systems and associated processes.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Regular attendance at assigned location that may include office or other project sites
- Assist in preparing sketches showing location of wiring and equipment, or follow blueprints, ensuring that concealed wiring is installed before the completion of future walls, ceilings, and flooring
- Assist in measuring, cutting, bending, threading, assembling, and installing an electrical conduit
- Participates in wire installation with conduit and cable trays
- Perform other routine duties as directed by workplace leader
- Avoid unsightly, hazardous, and unreliable wiring, consistent with specifications and electrical codes
- Help to connect power cables to equipment, such as motor, and installs grounding leads
- Observes functioning of installed equipment or system to determine hazards and need for adjustments, relocations, or replacement
- Perform additional duties as directed by foreman or project manager

- Follow plans and instructions from supervisors or more experienced workers
- Strict adherence to all safety rules and quality
- Participate in site housekeeping
- Interact with all co-workers and clients in an attentive courteous manner
- At times may perform clerical/administrative duties
Educational & Experience Requirements:
- High School Diploma
- 3 years of Field Experience, trade school or apprenticeship
- OSHA 10 certification
