On-Site – Hancock, MI | LifePoint Portage Hospital
Schedule: M-F 8 am - 4:30 pm

As a Financial Counseling Representative, you will be a trusted guide for patients navigating insurance coverage, financial responsibility, and payment solutions.
What You’ll Do:
- Provide exceptional financial counseling support by helping patients understand insurance benefits and out-of-pocket costs
- Meet with patients to discuss payment options and financial assistance programs
- Verify insurance eligibility and explain benefits clearly
- Assist with Medicaid and financial assistance applications
- Build trust with patients during stressful financial situations
- Collaborate with care teams and revenue cycle departments
- Maintain accurate documentation across multiple systems
What We’re Looking For:
- Exceptional customer service experience, communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrates genuine compassion, empathy, and patience when supporting the patients, clients and team members
- Ability to explain financial and insurance concepts clearly
- Ability to multitask and prioritize quickly with HIGH attention to detail.
- Professionalism with sensitive financial conversations
- High School Diploma or GED

For this US-based position, the base pay range is $16.48 - $23.13 per hour .
