Job Description

Graco manufactures and markets premium equipment to move, measure, control, dispense and spray a wide variety of fluid and powder materials. What does that mean? Well, we pump peanut butter into your jar, and the oil in your car. We glue the soles of your shoes, the glass in your windows and the screen on your phone. We spray the finish on your vehicle, coatings on your pills, the paint on your house and texture on your walls. Graco is part of your daily life.

This role is currently based at our Minneapolis office and will transition to our new headquarters in Dayton, MN, in 2027.  

The Director, Business – Finance – Operations & Supply Chain leads financial planning and analysis for the Operations & Supply Chain organization, connecting financial insight to operational performance and business outcomes. The position partners closely with the Operations & Supply Chain leadership team and the broader Finance team to deliver insights that drive performance and decision-making. Additionally, the individual in this position works in close partnership with cost accounting and site-level finance to translate financial results into forward-looking insights, ensuring alignment between financial reporting, operational drivers, and planning assumptions. He/she owns the forward-looking financial view of the business—connecting planning, forecasting and performance insights to inform decisions on productivity, inventory and capital deployment.

What You Will Do at Graco

Strategic Planning & Decision Support

  • Serve as the finance partner to Operations & Supply Chain leadership, providing forward-looking guidance aligned to business priorities
  • Lead annual planning, quarterly forecasting and long-range planning
  • Translate operational strategies into financial plans, scenarios, and investment priorities to support decision-making and resource allocation
  • Provide decision support to guide capital allocation, productivity initiatives, and operational trade-offs
  • Identify risks and opportunities early and align on actions across the leadership team
  • Act as a key finance voice in enterprise-wide strategic initiatives and investment/ROI decisions

Performance Management & Business Insight

  • Own the financial narrative for Operations & Supply Chain, linking performance drivers to outcomes and clearly communicating risks and opportunities
  • Establish and evolve metrics that connect operational activity to financial performance and inform actions
  • Deliver actionable insights to improve productivity, cost management, and working capital performance
  • Monitor performance against plan and drive actions to address gaps and accelerate results, in partnership with operational leadership

Inventory, Working Capital & Capital Efficiency

  • Provide financial insight into inventory strategy, working capital, and cash flow performance
  • Guide decision-making on inventory levels, turns, and supply-demand alignment
  • Drive financial evaluation of capital investment, automation, and footprint decisions
  • Partner to ensure alignment between operational execution and financial outcomes

Cross-Functional Business Partnership

  • Partners with Operations and Supply Chain leadership to deliver insights that drive performance and decision-making across the business
  • Align with Operations & Supply Chain leader on priorities, performance, and resource allocation
  • Partner with cost accounting and site-level finance to connect financial results, operational drivers and forward-looking plans to enable better decisions
  • Lead finance support for cross-functional initiatives that improve cost, service and efficiency

Team Leadership and Financial Management

  • Lead, mentor, manage, and staff a team of finance employees, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and promoting a culture of leadership excellence
  • Develop and implement strategies for talent acquisition and management, succession planning, and leadership development to build a pipeline of future leaders
  • Drive team performance by setting clear goals, providing ongoing feedback, and facilitating professional growth opportunities.
  • Establish, manage, and be accountable for the annual Finance Operations & Supply Chain budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources and alignment with organizational strategic objectives

What You Will Bring to Graco:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis, including planning, forecasting and decision support for Operations & Supply Chain
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to connect financial outcomes to operational drivers
  • Advanced analytical and financial modeling capability
  • Proven ability to influence leaders and drive decisions in a cross-functional environment
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate financial insights into clear business actions
  • 5+ years of leadership experience, with experience developing high-performing teams
  • Collaborative, practical and results-oriented approach with strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills

Accelerators:

  • Master’s degree or MBA
  • Experience supporting operations or supply chain finance
  • Exposure to inventory, working capital and capital investment decision-making
  • Experience influencing operational strategy through financial insight
  • Track record of driving performance improvement and operational outcomes

The base pay range for this position is listed below, exclusive of fringe benefits or other compensation.  If you are hired, your final base hourly rate will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, competencies, education, and/or experience.  In addition to those factors, we will also consider internal equity of our current employees.  Please keep in mind that the range provided is the full base salary range for the role.  Hiring at or near the maximum of the range would not be typical to allow for future and continued salary growth.

$141,800.00 - $248,200.00
