Vice President, Business Development – Retail Payment

Job Description
Responsibilities
Identify and target new business opportunities within the retail sector
Build and maintain a strong pipeline of potential clients through networking, cold calling, industry events, and digital outreach
Research prospective retail clients and understand their payment processing needs
Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to educate prospective clients on the benefits of our payment processing solutions
Highlight key features such as point-of-sale (POS) systems, unattended markets integration, contactless solutions, and fraud prevention capabilities
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the sales process, addressing any questions or concerns and negotiating terms
Work closely with internal teams such as Solutions, Product Development, and Customer Success to align sales efforts with company goals and enhance client satisfaction
Provide market feedback and insights to help shape the development of new payment solutions and services
Track sales activities, update CRM systems, and provide regular sales reports to management
Other tasks as assigned
Up to 75% travel is required
Technical Requirements
Broad experience in product and solutions sales (minimum 8 years) that includes high dollar sales and long sales cycle processes
Strong understanding of payment processing technology (e.g., POS systems, payment gateways, card networks) and the specific needs of retail businesses
Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales quotas. Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills
Ability to assess client needs and provide tailored payment processing solutions that drive business growth
Experience using CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) to track sales activities and manage leads
Comfort with understanding technical product features and explaining them in simple terms to non-technical audiences
