Area Operations Leasing Manager
Position Summary
The Area Operations Leasing Manager provides leasing, marketing, training, and operational support across multiple apartment communities within the portfolio. This role partners with Regional Managers, Community Managers, and onsite teams to improve occupancy, leasing performance, resident retention, customer service, and operational consistency. The Area Operations Leasing Manager serves as a subject matter expert in leasing best practices, onboarding, training, and community transitions while ensuring company standards and operational goals are achieved.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Leasing & Marketing
- Support multiple communities with leasing efforts, prospect follow-up, and conversion strategies.
- Monitor leasing performance and identify opportunities to improve traffic, tours, applications, and lease conversions.
- Assist with the implementation of marketing campaigns, resident referral programs, and outreach initiatives.
- Review competitor pricing, market trends, and occupancy performance to provide recommendations.
- Ensure leasing teams are utilizing company-approved sales techniques and customer service standards.
Operations Support
- Provide onsite operational support during staffing shortages, transitions, new acquisitions, and special projects.
- Assist with maintaining company standards, policies, and procedures across assigned communities.
- Conduct audits of leasing files, resident communications, marketing efforts, and operational processes.
- Assist communities in preparing for inspections, audits, and operational reviews.
- Support occupancy, renewal, delinquency, and resident satisfaction goals.
Training & Development
- Train and onboard new Community Managers, Assistant Managers, and Leasing Professionals.
- Facilitate training on company systems, leasing processes, customer service expectations, and operational procedures.
- Provide coaching and ongoing development to improve team performance and consistency.
- Support implementation of company programs, initiatives, and operational best practices.
Resident Retention & Customer Experience
- Assist communities with resident retention strategies and renewal programs.
- Help resolve resident concerns and support service recovery efforts when needed.
- Promote a positive resident experience through exceptional customer service and communication.
Reporting & Communication
- Maintain regular communication with Area Operation Managers, Regionals, and community teams regarding property performance and operational needs.
- Prepare and submit reports related to leasing performance, training activities, community support, and operational initiatives.
- Identify trends, challenges, and opportunities for improvement across the portfolio.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-5 years of multifamily property management experience.
- Proven success in leasing, sales, customer service, and occupancy management.
- Experience training, mentoring, and developing team members.
- Strong knowledge of property management software and leasing platforms.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to travel regularly between assigned communities.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong leadership and coaching abilities.
- Knowledge of multifamily operations, leasing strategies, and resident retention.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities across several communities.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with onsite teams, residents, and regional leadership.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, property management software, CRM systems, and leasing technology.

- Support occupancy and leasing goals across assigned communities.
- Improve leasing conversion and resident retention performance.
- Ensure consistent implementation of company standards and processes.
- Successfully train and develop onsite teams.

Pay Range: $24 - $26 per hour
