Optus’ Network Operations Centre (NOC) Managers play a pivotal role in leading our network monitoring and incident management operations.

 

Working on site at our coprarate head offices, this represents a unique opportunity to coordinate and lead a team of Network Engineers, ensuring flawless service delivery and network stability across our outstanding infrastructure. 

 

The operating environment runs 24/7/365, so this position requires you to be committed to working a rotating roster pattern aligned to same.

What You’ll Do 

 

  • Manage and align the duties of network engineers throughout the shift.
  • Maintain ongoing supervision of all network infrastructure, monitoring systems, and dashboards.
  • Address and coordinate the resolution of network incidents, outages, and performance alerts.
  • Serve as the liaison between management and NOC engineers.
  • Monitor prioritisation to optimise response times.
  • Collaborate with leadership to develop training curriculum for NOC technicians.

 

 

What You Bring

 

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience working in a Network Operations Centre or comparable 24/7 operational setting.
  • Solid understanding of network infrastructure, monitoring tools, and incident management procedures.
  • Proven ability to prioritise tasks and respond effectively to urgent issues.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Leadership capability with a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and technological advancements.
