DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Pay Range: $55,000 - $60,000 per year

The Safety Manager organizes and oversees all security operations of our Resort. The Park Safety team will be under your leadership while developing and implementing policies and procedures to maintain security standards. The goal is to create and preserve an environment where employees, guests, and property are safe and well protected. This management position is a full-time role that manages subordinate staff and reports to the General Manager.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Safety and Security
- Respond to the scene of guest/employee incidents promptly. Coordinate with security staff to report to, take charge of, and resolve guest or employee incidents, including but are not limited to: fighting, intoxicated guests, vehicle towing and accidents, theft, and other safety or security emergencies
- Communicate specific information to EMS/medical personnel as required
- Ensure access to the resort is controlled, including after hours access and monitoring; confronting any suspicious persons
- Develop emergency response plans with the assistance of outside agencies and ensures staff is trained on protocol
- Ensure all team members know safety requirements and follow safety procedures, including the lifeguard handbook
- Lead monthly safety meetings with all campground staff
- Assist the coordination and leadership of the Safety Committee
- Assist aquatics in accordance with guidelines and complies with all departmental procedure
- Evaluate operations and equipment to identify unsafe conditions and implement safeguards and solutions
- Maintain knowledge of state security laws, fire codes, and penal codes
- Investigate claims of theft or lost items, noise complaints, assault complaints, and other guest complaints and documents reports in accordance with departmental procedures while maintaining confidentiality
- Knowledgeable and up-to-date on all required permitting and licensure necessary for proper park operations; working with the General Manager to maintain compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
- Loss Prevention Program
- Issue radios and keys to designated resort personnel, maintain accurate records and ensures the safekeeping of such following resort procedures
- Ensure cabin doors are secured and assist with authorized room access
- Assist in moving/removing cabin possessions, inventory, and security of such and key rooms following resort policy and procedures Complies with guest requests for storing and safekeeping of their valuables and follows procedures
- Monitor safety, loss, and risk management at each resort as it relates to property, vehicles, and equipment
- Other General Duties
- PM Manager On Duty each week
- Responsible for personnel related actions, including hiring, orientation, training, coaching, feedback, discipline, and scheduling of employees
- Learn and utilize the reservation system for daily planning (Campspot)
- Ensure that files and records are maintained in accordance with the legal requirement and Company policies and procedures
- Complete incident reporting on a timely basis and maintain accurate records
- Assist with compliance for Federal, State and Local laws and regulations
- Periodic travel to other campgrounds to conduct safety audits
- Participate in other projects and activities as assigned
EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE
- High School education or equivalent
- 5+ years in a position dealing with the general public
- Ability to obtain necessary licenses including, but not limited to State security license, CPR and First Aid certification, alcohol awareness training
- Ability to read and interpret English-language documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Experience managing extensive closed-circuit television arrays; comfortable operating and monitoring activities on-premises using CCTV systems, access control systems, and alarm systems

- Basic computer skills

- Strong attention to detail, speed, and accuracy
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Maintain a positive work environment by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, vendors, coworkers, and management
- Required to work nights, weekends, and holidays
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS/ SKILLS
- College degree in related field
- Law enforcement background
- First responder experience
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Able to move up to 50 lbs;
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position
- Continuously climb, balance, stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, and crawl
- Use arms and hands to reach, and lift
- Constant exposure to outside weather conditions
- Able to communicate verbally, including projecting your voice across distance in everyday and loud situations
