Salary for the candidate will be determined taking into consideration a number of factors including: experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, location, etc. The salary range presented below is based on a 35-hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles. However, we encourage candidates who may fall outside of this range to apply as well.

Through the development of strong partnerships with managers and employees, the HR Consultant will provide support and guidance on matters pertaining to performance management, employee relations, conflict resolution, change management, compensation, benefits, training and development, and respect in the workplace. In addition to the consulting responsibilities, the incumbent will be expected to lead or participate in projects or initiatives related to various HR objectives.
This role would be ideal for someone who would enjoy the challenge and wide scope of responsibility and consulting opportunity. We are looking for an individual who can provide practical and straightforward advice and support. You know how to anticipate problems and can act to avoid them early on. You have achieved success both through your own efforts and through collaborating with others. You are comfortable working autonomously and communicating with a remote team.
This is a 12-month contract position.
What the Role Entails:
- Provide guidance and direction to managers and employees on matters pertaining to employee relations, performance management, disability management, the interpretation and application of company policies and employment legislation and change management initiatives.
- Actively participate in the resolution of conflicts, complaints or problems.
- Ensure consistent understanding and delivery of HR policies and programs within the assigned client group.
- Support the acquisition and integration process within the assigned client group.
- Lead or participate in the review of current human resources management programs and practices.
- Develop and deliver training programs for managers and employees as part of the deployment and implementation strategy of programs and initiatives.
- Facilitate HR programs or cyclical initiatives as required.
The Successful candidate will have:

- University degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related area.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant Human Resources experience.
- CPHR is required (or in progress)
- Experience in developing and delivering HR training programs to a variety of audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects successfully in a fast-paced and changing environment
- Knowledge of the Employment Legislation in Ontario
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Creative, flexible and have a business-oriented outlook
- Experience working with geographically dispersed team members and stakeholders
