
Maintenance Management Specialist
Job Description
Our Transition to Service team is seeking detail‑oriented and organized Maintenance Management Specialists to support the effective execution of maintenance and preservation activities on the River-class Destroyer project. In this role, you will provide oversight, coordination, and quality assurance to ensure all assets are managed in accordance with established Maintenance Control Plan (MCP) requirements.
Working closely with internal teams, contractors, and subcontractors, you'll keep activities on schedule, resolve issues, and maintain accurate records within the Maintenance Management Software. Your work will help ensure that project assets are properly preserved, compliant, and ready for operational use.

- Provide oversight and coordination for the maintenance and preservation teams.
- Ensure assets are received, stored, preserved, and protected in accordance with Maintenance Control Plan (MCP) requirements.
- Ensure MCP activities are executed in alignment with the project schedule.
- Update and maintain accurate information in the Maintenance Management Software.
- Liaise with management, contractors, and subcontractors to mitigate schedule conflicts and resolve non‑conformances.
- Conduct warehouse inspections to verify and identify MCP requirements.
- Perform audits of MCP activities to support quality control and compliance.
Education
- Diploma in Engineering Technology (or a related discipline), or equivalent Royal Canadian Navy experience.
- A combination of relevant education and experience will also be considered.
Experience
- Minimum of two years of supervisory or managerial experience related to equipment maintenance, preservation, or asset management.
- Strong understanding of maintenance processes, documentation, and quality control practices.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal teams, contractors, and subcontractors.
- High attention to detail and commitment to ensuring compliance with established maintenance and preservation requirements.
- Experience working with Maintenance Management Software is considered an asset.
