Industrial Maintenance Technician (Electrical) – Traveling Southeast
We’re looking for a hands-on Industrial Maintenance Technician with electrical expertise to support multiple facilities across the Southeast region. If you enjoy solving electrical and equipment challenges, working independently, and traveling to support plant operations, this role offers variety, responsibility, and the opportunity to make a real impact.
As a traveling maintenance technician, you’ll partner with local maintenance teams to keep municipal water and wastewater plant equipment reliable, safe, and operating at peak performance.
What You’ll Do
Perform installation, inspection, preventive maintenance, and repair on industrial electrical systems, motor controls, and related equipment
Support auto-dialer and electrical system installations across multiple plant locations
Troubleshoot electrical issues quickly and safely to minimize downtime
Properly pull wire, install components, and test circuits according to specifications
Maintain tools, equipment, and materials in a safe, ready-to-use condition
Prepare rigs and equipment for daily field assignments
Accurately document work orders, PMs, and repairs in the CMMS system
Maintain a clean, organized shop and work environment
Support plant operations during off-shifts, weekends, holidays, and emergency on-call rotations
Travel regularly to assist maintenance teams at multiple sites throughout the Southeast
Take on additional duties as needed to support operational success
Experience & Education
High School Diploma or GED required
Minimum 2 years of industrial, electrical, or maintenance experience, or equivalent technical training
Licenses
Valid Driver’s License (Class B CDL preferred)
Maintenance Certifications and/or Journeyman's license helpful
Technical Skills
Working knowledge of electrical circuits, wiring, and motor controls
Experience with industrial or automotive electrical systems a plus
Ability to read manuals, schematics, and follow operating instructions
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and internet use
Physical Requirements
Frequently lift and carry 50–60 lbs
Load, unload, and move large tools and equipment
Work in confined spaces, and climb stairs and ladders regularly
Ability to be on your feet and moving throughout the workday
