Job Description
Job Summary:
Maintenance Mechanic II will independently perform facilities maintenance as well as, basic repairs and preventive care on Industrial electrical, hydraulic, & mechanical systems.
Job Requirements:
Perform preventative maintenance on machines and equipment
Make adjustments necessary to insure efficient operation with Supervision
Move heavy machine parts with the aid of hoists or rollers with Supervision
Performs related paperwork as instructed by supervisory personnel
Maintains clean work area
Participates within projects to achieve improvement
Trouble shooting basic electrical problems on a variety of industrial hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
May start specialisms (mechanics, electrician, forklift mechanics, etc.).
Effectively interpret schematics and diagrams to analyze and troubleshoot problems for products.
Move heavy machine parts with the aid of hoists or rollers.
Communication with plant and company management regarding scheduling and repair status.
Inspects and checks work prior to turning machinery back to users, assuring that all safety factors have been attended to in compliance with applicable safety regulations.
Performs related paperwork as instructed by supervisory personnel.
Participates in maintenance projects to achieve improvements.
Report any equipment or facility defect(s) to supervisor.
May work different shift or overtime
Perform any other duties not mentioned above when instructed to do so by the department manager.
Skill Requirements:
High School diploma or GED and/or combination of vocational school.
2-4 years repairing and/or maintaining hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical industrial equipment or related industrial machinery.
Pass Written and Practical Test.
Certified in Etchline.
Basic English (reading, writing, verbal and comprehension).
Ability to communicate with co-workers, supervisor, Safety, and QC personnel.
Ability to use and operate equipment and machinery.
Ability to follow specific instructions and directions.
Intermediate math skills and measuring abilities.
Intermediate Computer Skills to include specifications, and / or blueprint interpretation.
Preferred Requirements:
Machine shop background.
Knowledge of metal work and fabrication and abrasives.
Strong mechanical knowledge
Tech or Trade school training certificate in related field.
Electrical 480-V 3 phase experience preferred.
4 years related industrial maintenance experience performing repairs and PM on hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical industrial equipment desired.
Prior forging equipment repair experience highly desired.
Ability to weld with MIG and TIG highly desired. (excluding high pressure line)

Compensation: $25 - $32 an hour. This is the lowest to highest hourly rate we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
