Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Design Engineer for our cutting tool manufacturing operations. The candidate will be responsible for designing HSS and Carbide cutting tools such as drills, taps, End mills, reamers, core drills, and tool bits, along with machine parts, fixtures, and special tooling required for production.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop HSS and Carbide cutting tools.
- Prepare 2D drawings and 3D models using CAD software.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant international standards (ISO / DIN / ANSI / IS).
- Create and manage BOM, routing, and engineering documentation in SAP.
- Support machine part design, fixtures, and tooling development.
- Coordinate with production, quality, and maintenance teams for design improvements.
- Work on new product development and design optimization.
Requirements
- B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
- 3–8 years’ experience in cutting tool design or mechanical design
- Strong knowledge of cutting tool geometry and machining processes
- Knowledge of international standards (ISO, DIN, ANSI, IS) for cutting tools
- Experience in CAD software (SolidWorks / AutoCAD / Creo / NX)
- Experience in HSS or Carbide tool manufacturing preferred
