They will act as anadvisor to the database developers with regards to data modeling and querieswriting. A strong knowledge of SQL is required.While theymay not have to write stored procedures using PL/SQL, they will have to be ableto read and understand stored procedures.Theyshould have a solid knowledge of tuning queries and that knowledge shouldinclude aspects of the following:1. Materialized Views2. mso-highlight:yellow">Automatic Workload Repository (AWR) and AutomaticDatabase Diagnostic Monitor (ADDM).3. Partitioning strategies4. Query Hints5. Oracle Statistics GatheringSkills/Tools:Oracle 11 and 12c, SQL, data modeling, Stored Procedures (PL/SQL), GridControl, SQL Developer (or Toad), some replication skills +.
