
Field Service Manager – Canada
Job Description
Custom Truck One Source (CTOS) is expanding our Canada team and is looking for a Field Service Manager to support our growing operations.
CTOS operates service locations in Ayr, Ontario, and Calgary/Edmonton, Alberta, and is part of a North American network of over 40 locations across the U.S. and Canada.
This role is on-site and can be based out of any CTOS Canada location.
We specialize in truck-mounted hydraulic utility equipment, including:
- Aerial bucket trucks
- Digger derricks
- Hi-rail trucks
- Cranes
- Other utility and heavy equipment

As a Field Service Manager, you’ll play a critical role in coordinating field operations, supporting technicians, and ensuring exceptional service delivery to our customers.
What You’ll Do
- Dispatch and coordinate Field Service Technicians for all offsite work
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment (aerials, cranes, digger derricks, hi-rail, etc.) in shop and field environments
- Review and verify technician work; escalate issues as needed
- Manage incoming service calls and assign resources accordingly
- Maintain compliance with DOT regulations and technician logs
- Review inspection reports, repair orders, and timecards for accuracy
- Update and maintain the Customer Interaction Center daily
- Communicate with customers and internal teams to minimize equipment downtime
- Partner with the Service Manager to improve operations and customer satisfaction
- Support scheduling, including on-call rotations and reporting
- Travel as needed (10–25%) based on business needs
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and participate in CTOS and OEM training
What We’re Looking For
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Journeyman or Red Seal Heavy Equipment Technician (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in heavy equipment, truck, or construction machinery repair
- Strong knowledge of:
- Hydraulics
- Electrical systems
- Chassis and track equipment
- Utility equipment (cranes, digger derricks, hi-rail)
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagnostics
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable using laptops/diagnostic tools
