Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Highcliff Vets on a full-time basis.

 

Highcliff Vets is a long established but modern practice based in the heart of a charming Suffolk market town, surrounded by beautiful countryside and close to the historic coastline, with good links to London.


You will be joining a close knit team of 7 Vets, and 7 Nurses, with nursing experience ranging from newly qualified through to over 15 years. The veterinary team includes a certificate holder in imaging and an experienced orthopaedic surgeon, offering excellent exposure to a varied and interesting caseload. The practice is well equipped with digital x-ray, ultrasound, video endoscopy, multiparameter monitoring and a class 4 laser.

 
 

How You’ll Make a Difference

 

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences.

 

You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice.

 

Working Pattern

 
* 40 hours per week
* Working Monday to Friday on a rotating early, middle and late pattern
* 1 in 4 weekend rota, including within weekly hours
* No out of hours requirement
 

General Responsibilities

 
* Nurse clinics
* Inpatient care
* Theatre work
* Supporting with lab work and imaging

* Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS
* Experience working in clinical practice, with growing confidence in medical and surgical nursing
* Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues
* Good organisational skills and the ability to manage workload effectively
* A proactive approach to learning, reflection, and continuous improvement
