Position Overview:

Boeing India Defense Private Limited (BIDPL) is currently looking for Senior MRO Planning Specialist to support the P-8I aircraft sustainment program and coordinate MRO checks with Boeing approved MRO suppliers.

The candidate will be based at INS Rajali, India and support MRO checks at the supplier’s location as and when Indian Navy P-8I are inducted for maintenance. The position will also support future P-8I heavy checks and major repair/mods that BIDPL will undertake either at Indian Navy Base or MRO suppliers.

The ideal candidate will serve as the single point of contact between Boeing and third‑party MRO supplier to ensure on‑time and cost‑effective execution of scheduled maintenance and heavy checks.

Position Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support and expertise regarding schedule maintenance task requirements

• Manage the review and approval process for all non-routine maintenance activities

• Monitor daily impacts to schedule and approve changes as required

• Oversee labor and material expenditures and monitor impacts to available budget

• Attend coordination and status meetings and briefings with the MRO partner

• Act as primary point of contact/liaison for all engineering and technical reach-back support between the MRO partner and Boeing Service Engineering

• Monitor and assist with material and equipment procurement activities

• Act as point of contact/liaison managing all communication between the Indian Navy, Boeing and the MRO partner

• Conduct coordination and status meetings and briefings with Indian Navy

• Conduct coordination and status meetings and briefings with internal Boeing teams

• Ensure all deliverables, requirements and procedures are accomplished in accordance with terms of the contracts signed with the Indian Navy and MRO supplier

• Maintain and optimize the aircraft scheduled maintenance plan (SMP) to meet Indian Navy requirements

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor’s Degree is required as basic qualification

• 10 to 15 years of experience in aircraft maintenance

• 5 years or more experience in maintenance planning, heavy checks coordination, or maintenance integration with an MRO

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) with CAR 66 CAT B1/B2 License on Boeing 737 NG/800 aircraft or equivalent

• Previous Boeing 737-800 or P-8I aircraft MRO experience is highly desired.

• Excellent project coordination, stakeholder management, and verbal/written communication skills.

• Strong knowledge of scheduled maintenance planning processes, maintenance program documentation, and regulatory compliance (FAA, EASA, or DGCA).

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 12 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+ 11 years' related work experience
