Job Description

  • Minimum Required Qualifications
    1. Education

Bachelor’s degree in engineering

    1. Training

NEBOSH.

    1. Technical knowledge

At least 5 years’ experience after certification. In specific cases, documented training or work experience as HSE Engineer / ADNOC approval is a plus

Minimum 10 years’ experience in similar field

  • Responsibilities / Authorities / Accountabilities
    1. Primary Functions
  • Ensures compliance with safety regulations, manages risks, and minimizes environmental impact across upstream, midstream, and downstream operations.
  • Develop safety policies, conduct audits, investigate incidents, and train personnel to prevent accidents
  • Risk Assessment & Mitigation: Identifying hazards (e.g., flammable, toxic materials, high pressure) through techniques like HAZOP, PHA, and LOPA.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring operations meet local, national, and international standards.
  • Incident Management: Investigating accidents to determine root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Safety Audits & Inspections: Regularly checking equipment and working conditions (e.g., on rigs or platforms) for compliance.
  • Emergency Response Planning: Developing procedures for fires, spills, and other hazardous events.
  • Environmental Protection: Monitoring pollution, waste management, and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Training & Awareness: Providing safety training and conducting daily toolbox talks.
    1. Technical Expertise
  • Technical Knowledge: Understanding process safety, P&IDs, and equipment safety.
  • Operational Awareness: Active monitoring of critical operations, such as drilling, to identify potential failures.
  • Communication: Effective reporting and coordination with management and field personnel.
    1. Business Requirements
  • Report to Project Manager (BV) and to Client QHSE.
    1. Self Management
  • Maintains a high degree of expertise through permanent specialized training and knowledge management.
  • Meet project development objectives
  • Should be Results oriented, Service driven and Problem solving 

Comply with company regulations, procedures and Code of Ethics.
