Day Shift Janitorial Specialist

Position Summary

We are seeking a professional, customer-oriented Day Shift Janitorial Specialist to maintain our facility to the highest cleanliness standards. This role is responsible for ensuring all office areas, common spaces, and customer-facing environments remain pristine throughout the day while providing exceptional service with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Maintain immaculate cleanliness throughout office areas, meeting rooms, and common spaces.
• Perform regular spot cleaning of break areas, marketing centers, and cafeteria spaces.
• Continuously monitor and replenish paper products and supplies in restrooms, break rooms, and other areas.
• Respond promptly to cleaning requests and spill incidents during business hours.
• Communicate facility issues, maintenance needs, or supply shortages to the Facilities Supervisor.
• Assist other janitorial team members in various areas of the building as needed.
• Maintain a professional, friendly demeanor when interacting with employees and customers.
• Follow established cleaning protocols and safety procedures.
• Support special events or meetings with additional cleaning services as required.
• Work collaboratively as part of the facilities team to ensure all areas meet quality standards.

Qualifications

• Previous janitorial or custodial experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

• Ability to work independently while following established procedures.

Physical Requirements

• Standing and walking for extended periods throughout an 8-hour shift.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds of supplies and equipment.
• Frequent bending, stooping, and reaching to clean various surfaces.
• Manual dexterity to operate cleaning equipment and handle supplies.
• Pushing and pulling cleaning carts and equipment weighing up to 40 pounds.
• Climbing step stools or small ladders to safely reach high areas.
• Stamina to maintain productivity throughout an entire shift.
• Ability to work safely and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain a professional appearance.
