Schedule: Monday to Friday | Monday + Tuesday 6am-5pm | Wednesday-Friday 6am-6pm | Rotating Saturdays 6am-12p

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform basic repairs on trailers, with a path toward tractor repairs based on skill progression
  • Assist with diagnosis and repair under guidance of the Maintenance Shop Manager
  • Develop foundational knowledge of shop operations, safety, and mechanical systems
  • Learn and utilize FleetRock software and digital Repair Order (RO) documentation
  • Accurately record parts usage, time spent, and repair completion in ROs
  • Support parts inventory management by tracking parts pulled and communicating discrepancies
  • Gain experience in brake repairs and federal inspection systems to grow into a Tech II role
  • Participate in quality control inspections and receive mentorship to improve skills
  • Work positively with other techs to maintain a productive and respectful shop environment
  • Adhere to OSHA and industry safety standards at all times


Qualifications

  • 0–1 year of experience in diesel or trailer repair (entry-level welcome)
  • Strong willingness to learn and grow technical skills in a hands-on environment
  • Basic understanding of tractors, trailers, and mechanical systems (preferred)
  • Ability to complete digital repair orders and document time/parts accurately
  • Reliable attendance and commitment to meeting shop timelines
  • Physically capable of performing repairs in a busy shop setting
  • Team-oriented with a positive attitude and eagerness to improve
  • Comfortable using tablets and shop software (FleetRock training provided)

Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Incentive

Candidates who possess and maintain a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) may be eligible for an additional $2.00 per hour above the posted starting rate.

Employees holding a valid CDL may be called upon, as business needs require, to provide operational support during peak periods, employee absences, or other staffing shortages. Responsibilities may include:

  • Safely operating company vehicles on public roads and highways in compliance with all applicable Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSRs).
  • Transporting or repositioning tractors, trailers, and other equipment between company facilities, customers, vendors, and service providers.
  • Providing coverage for dedicated or non-dedicated customer freight by picking up, delivering, or relaying loads in coordination with company drivers and operations personnel.
  • Maintaining all required CDL qualifications, medical certifications, and driving standards necessary to perform these duties.
  • The additional hourly compensation recognizes the flexibility, qualifications, and operational support provided by employees who maintain a valid CDL and are available to perform these responsibilities when needed.
