Description:
- Requirements are the core of the business analyst’s role.
- The information security business analyst must be proficient at requirements management including eliciting requirements, simplifying requirements, and assisting in the translation of business requirements into technical security solutions.
- Developing technical security solutions to business problems begins with defining, analysing and documenting requirements.
- Managing security requirement and lifecycle at the project level to help fulfil business needs.
Information Security business analysts must take the lead role in:
- Assisting with the business case
- Planning and monitoring
- Eliciting requirements
- Requirements organization
- Translating and simplifying requirements
- Requirements management and communication
- Requirements analysis
In addition, a security business analyst will use requirements to drive the design or review of test cases, process change requests, and assist a project manager to manage an information security project’s scope, acceptance, installation, and deployment.
