Job Description
The Chief Industry Principle Lead is a senior strategic leader responsible for shaping, driving, and evangelizing IFS’s industry vision and market positioning across a defined vertical. This role serves as the primary thought leader and industry ambassador, partnering closely with customers, prospects, analysts, partners, and internal teams to guide industry strategy, portfolio development, and large‑deal pursuits.
The successful candidate will combine deep industry expertise with strong executive presence, influencing skills, and the ability to translate customer challenges into compelling value propositions powered by IFS solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Industry Strategy & Vision
- Define and communicate the industry strategy, ensuring alignment with IFS’s global product, marketing, and sales priorities.
- Anticipate and interpret industry trends, regulatory changes, and market disruptions to inform solution enhancements and strategic investments.
- Partner with Product Management to shape the industry roadmap based on customer needs, market demands, and competitive insights.
Thought Leadership
- Serve as the primary industry spokesperson for IFS, representing the company at conferences, analyst briefings, executive roundtables, and customer summits.
- Produce high‑quality thought leadership content including white papers, keynote material, research briefs, and industry POVs.
- Strengthen IFS’s profile as a market leader through strategic engagement with global influencers, industry bodies, and advisory groups.
Customer & Market Engagement
- Engage directly with C‑level customers to understand their strategic priorities, influence transformation decisions, and articulate IFS’s differentiated value.
- Support strategic pursuits and large opportunities as an industry expert, shaping business cases, value frameworks, and transformation roadmaps.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with reference customers, positioning them as champions for IFS solutions.
Cross‑Functional Leadership
- Collaborate with Sales, Presales, Marketing, Delivery, and Customer Success to ensure unified industry messaging and execution.
- Support enablement programs to elevate internal knowledge and capabilities across key industry topics and solution offerings.
- Drive alignment with Partner organisations to strengthen industry go‑to‑market programs and solution ecosystems.
Value Realization
- Lead the development of compelling value propositions and metrics that demonstrate measurable outcomes for customers.
- Provide leadership on business case modelling, transformation KPIs, and ROI justification aligned to industry benchmarks and best practices.
- Champion a customer‑centric approach that ensures solution adoption, operational excellence, and long‑term customer success.
- 15+ years of industry experience in a senior leadership, consulting, or transformation role within the technology industry.
- Deep knowledge of industry trends, regulatory frameworks, operating models, and emerging technologies.
- Proven track record in shaping and communicating strategic vision to C‑level stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of enterprise software (ERP, EAM, FSM, or industry‑specific solutions preferred).
- Demonstrated experience supporting complex sales cycles and large transformation programs.
- Exceptional communication, storytelling, and executive presentation skills.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities.
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field preferred.
