- Advising key stakeholders through selection, transformation, implementation, and configuration of Workday. Our consultants are hands-on involved in full-scale implementation, project management, change management, requirements and design, process improvement, testing, integration enablement support, overseeing supplier enablement, and best practices
- Contributing beyond client delivery, including, but not limited to recruiting, coaching, marketing, business development, practice development, operational improvement, and beyond
- Implementing performance improvement and cost-reduction initiatives
Overview
The AI & Data Services Practice Leader is responsible for building, scaling, and leading CrossVue’s AI & Data Services practice, encompassing consulting services, packaged offerings, and products. This role owns end-to-end strategy, delivery excellence, and commercial growth for CrossVue’s data, analytics, AI, and automation capabilities—helping clients unlock durable, scalable value from Workday data and adjacent platforms.
This leader understands the executive, architectural, and operational challenges organizations face when modernizing data platforms, operationalizing analytics, and deploying AI responsibly across HR, Finance, IT, and Operations. In close partnership with executive leadership, consulting leaders, and alliances, the Practice Leader defines the practice vision and executes a multi-year roadmap spanning services, products, talent, and innovation. The AI & Data Services Practice Leader is a senior member of CrossVue’s consulting leadership team and plays a central role in positioning the firm as a data- and AI-led services and products provider. Key ecosystem partnerships include Databricks, Snowflake, Workday Data Cloud, and Workato. This role reports to the Chief Strategy & Consulting Officer.
Role Objectives
Define and execute the strategy for CrossVue’s AI & Data Services consulting practice. Build differentiated, scalable offerings across data engineering, analytics, AI/ML, and automation.
Establish delivery excellence through standardized methodologies, reusable accelerators, product roadmaps, and governance models.
Scale and lead global, high performing, multidisciplinary teams while driving utilization, margin, and retention.
Drive repeatable revenue through advisory services, productized offerings, subscription and managed services.
Strengthen and operationalize services aligned to strategic partnerships (Databricks, Snowflake, Workday Data Cloud, etc.)
Responsibilities
Own the vision, roadmap, and P&L performance for the AI & Data Services practice, including services and products. Accountable for successful delivery of data, analytics, automation and MCP-enabled services.
Define multi-year investment plans, growth targets, and OKRs aligned to firm strategy.
Partner with product, growth, and consulting leaders to design offerings that are secure, scalable, and repeatable. Define pricing, packaging and lifecycle management.
Oversee staffing models, capacity planning, utilization, and margin performance across the practice.
Collaborate with CrossVue Strategic Alliances Leader on joint solutions with partners(Databricks, Snowflake, etc.), required certifications, sales enablement, and co-sell motions. Support attainment of advanced partner designations and new capability recognitions.
Act as a trusted advisor to client executives on data and AI strategy, analytics modernization, AI adoption, and platform architecture. Support sales pursuits through solution design, executive presentations, and deal shaping.
Partner with marketing to position CrossVue as a leader in Workday-centric AI, data, and MCP-enabled solutions. Contribute to market-facing thought leadership, POVs, and industry presentations.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to foster an environment of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
Recruit, develop, and retain top talent across data engineering, analytics, AI/ML, automation, and integration disciplines.
Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous learning aligned to CrossVue values. Provide coaching, performance management, and career development for practice leaders and senior contributors.
Strong executive presence and C-suite advisory experience.
Excellent communication skills, exhibiting professionalism and discretion in interacting with executives and clients
Ability to travel on average 30% to 50% of the time
Required Experience & Skills
10+ years in consulting or professional services, with 5+ years leading AI, data, or cloud technology delivery practices
Demonstrated P&L ownership of a $3M+ delivery practice or consulting business unit
Deep expertise in at least two of: Databricks, Snowflake, AI/ML platforms, enterprise data architecture
Proven ability to hire, develop, and retain high-performing technical consulting teams of 10+ people
Strong executive presence with experience managing C-suite client relationships in a delivery capacity
Track record of building delivery methodology, reusable IP, and quality assurance frameworks in a consulting environment
Experience working alongside a dedicated sales function — comfortable enabling sellers without owning pipeline
Workday ecosystem knowledge strongly preferred; understanding of HCM/ERP data landscapes a differentiator
Preferred Qualifications & Certifications
Prior Practice Lead, Delivery Director, or VP of Consulting at a boutique SI, Big 4, or cloud-native consulting firm
Background delivering AI/GenAI or data modernization programs at enterprise scale ($500K+ engagements)
Familiarity with Workato, Workday, or enterprise iPaaS automation platforms
Experience building marketplace products or packaged IP for Databricks, Snowflake, or Workato marketplaces
MBA or advanced degree in a quantitative or technical field
Databricks Certified Partner or Solution Architect
Snowflake SnowPro Core or Advanced
Workato Automation Pro
AWS, Azure, or GCP Cloud Practitioner or Architect level
Pay Transparency: At CrossVue, we believe in transparent and equitable compensation practices. The base salary range for this position is $240,000 to $250,000 annually. The actual salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's experience, qualifications, internal equity, and location. This range represents base salary only and does not include our variable pay and comprehensive benefits packages. We regularly review our compensation practices to ensure fair, competitive pay for all employees. Our salary bands are designed to provide clear career progression opportunities while maintaining pay equity across our organization.

A Note on Travel: Our approach is different in that we are purposeful in scheduling on-site visits with clients around their unique needs rather than the standard Monday-Thursday travel schedule that you'll find at other large firms. We expect travel to be roughly 30-50% (could be more or less) but we’ll continue to monitor this area and adapt as needed.
