Autodesk is seeking a Principal Integration Architect to join the Business Systems and Applications Engineering organization within the Finance domain. In this role, you will lead the architecture, modernization, and governance of enterprise integration platforms that connect critical business systems, including SAP S/4HANA and other upstream and downstream enterprise applications. 
 

Working alongside a talented team of backend and integration engineers, you will design and enable secure, scalable, resilient, and cloud-native integration solutions using AWS-native services and event-driven architectures. You will play a key role in driving integration modernization, platform reliability, observability, operational excellence, and engineering best practices across enterprise ecosystems including ERP, SCM, CRM, and eCommerce platforms. 

Responsibilities 

Enterprise Integration Architecture & Modernization 

  • Define and evolve enterprise integration architecture using AWS-native services, modern cloud patterns, and event-driven design principles

  • Modernize traditional middleware integrations (e.g., MuleSoft, Tibco) into scalable AWS serverless and event-driven architectures

  • Provide architecture guidance for API-led integrations, asynchronous/event-driven workflows, batch/file-based integrations, and enterprise data movement across business systems

  • Collaborate with architects, engineering teams, and business stakeholders to establish scalable and maintainable integration standards and best practices
     

AWS Platform Engineering & Integration Services 

  • Design, build, and operate cloud-native integration services using AWS technologies including Lambda, API Gateway, Event Bridge, SQS, SNS, S3, Glue, Step Functions, RDS/PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, and Secrets Manager

  • Build and support enterprise data integration and transformation workflows using AWS Glue and related AWS services

  • Implement Infrastructure as Code using Serverless Framework, Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation for shared platform and integration resources

  • Drive CI/CD automation and deployment standards for Node.js, Java, and Python-based integration services using Jenkins and related DevOps tooling
     

Reliability, Observability & Operational Excellence 

  • Design resilient integration patterns incorporating retries, idempotency, DLQs, circuit breakers, throttling, backpressure controls, and graceful degradation strategies

  • Define and implement disaster recovery and resiliency strategies including RTO/RPO targets, failover mechanisms, backup/restore processes, operational runbooks, and game day exercises

  • Establish observability standards using CloudWatch, Dynatrace, Splunk, and AWS X-Ray to improve monitoring, tracing, alerting, and operational insights  

  • Drive operational excellence initiatives focused on platform reliability, incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous MTTR reduction
     

Security, Governance & Engineering Excellence 

  • Apply AWS security best practices including IAM, KMS, Secrets Manager, encryption, audit logging, and least-privilege access controls

  • Maintain integration architecture documentation, HLD/LLD artifacts, operational standards, and engineering governance practices

  • Participate in architecture reviews, platform governance discussions, security reviews, and technical strategy initiatives across the enterprise

  • Mentor engineers and promote engineering best practices, continuous improvement, and operational maturity across integration teams
      

Minimum Qualifications 

  • 8 to 12 years of experience in enterprise integration, cloud engineering, or platform engineering

  • Experience designing enterprise integration solutions using MuleSoft, Tibco, or similar middleware platforms

  • Hands-on experience with AWS serverless and integration technologies such as Lambda, API Gateway, Event Bridge, SQS/SNS, S3, Glue, Step Functions, DynamoDB, IAM, CloudWatch, and related AWS services

  • Extensive enterprise integration patterns including API-led connectivity, event-driven architecture, orchestration, transformation, retries, and error handling

  • Experience modernizing traditional middleware integrations into AWS-native serverless and event-driven architectures

  • Extensive experience implementing CI/CD automation using Jenkins or similar DevOps tooling

  • Good working knowledge of Infrastructure as Code using Serverless Framework, Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation

  • Knowledge of observability, reliability engineering, disaster recovery, and production support best practices

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills using logs, metrics, and tracing tools 

  • Understanding of the Shell Scripting, Python

  • Experience with application containerization and deployment on AWS cloud platforms using technologies such as Docker, ECS, or Kubernetes 

  

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience with Docker, ECS, Fargate, or Kubernetes

  • AWS Solution Architect certification preferred

  • Familiarity with GenAI/RAG/MCP
