Our technology powers innovation across architecture, engineering, construction, manufacturing, media, and entertainment—helping customers solve complex challenges and create a more sustainable future. From greener buildings and smarter products to groundbreaking digital experiences, Autodesk empowers innovators everywhere to design and make a better world.
Autodesk is seeking a Principal Integration Architect to join the Business Systems and Applications Engineering organization within the Finance domain. In this role, you will lead the architecture, modernization, and governance of enterprise integration platforms that connect critical business systems, including SAP S/4HANA and other upstream and downstream enterprise applications.
Working alongside a talented team of backend and integration engineers, you will design and enable secure, scalable, resilient, and cloud-native integration solutions using AWS-native services and event-driven architectures. You will play a key role in driving integration modernization, platform reliability, observability, operational excellence, and engineering best practices across enterprise ecosystems including ERP, SCM, CRM, and eCommerce platforms.
Responsibilities
Enterprise Integration Architecture & Modernization
Define and evolve enterprise integration architecture using AWS-native services, modern cloud patterns, and event-driven design principles
Modernize traditional middleware integrations (e.g., MuleSoft, Tibco) into scalable AWS serverless and event-driven architectures
Provide architecture guidance for API-led integrations, asynchronous/event-driven workflows, batch/file-based integrations, and enterprise data movement across business systems
Collaborate with architects, engineering teams, and business stakeholders to establish scalable and maintainable integration standards and best practices
AWS Platform Engineering & Integration Services
Design, build, and operate cloud-native integration services using AWS technologies including Lambda, API Gateway, Event Bridge, SQS, SNS, S3, Glue, Step Functions, RDS/PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, and Secrets Manager
Build and support enterprise data integration and transformation workflows using AWS Glue and related AWS services
Implement Infrastructure as Code using Serverless Framework, Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation for shared platform and integration resources
Drive CI/CD automation and deployment standards for Node.js, Java, and Python-based integration services using Jenkins and related DevOps tooling
Reliability, Observability & Operational Excellence
Design resilient integration patterns incorporating retries, idempotency, DLQs, circuit breakers, throttling, backpressure controls, and graceful degradation strategies
Define and implement disaster recovery and resiliency strategies including RTO/RPO targets, failover mechanisms, backup/restore processes, operational runbooks, and game day exercises
Establish observability standards using CloudWatch, Dynatrace, Splunk, and AWS X-Ray to improve monitoring, tracing, alerting, and operational insights
Drive operational excellence initiatives focused on platform reliability, incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous MTTR reduction
Security, Governance & Engineering Excellence
Apply AWS security best practices including IAM, KMS, Secrets Manager, encryption, audit logging, and least-privilege access controls
Maintain integration architecture documentation, HLD/LLD artifacts, operational standards, and engineering governance practices
Participate in architecture reviews, platform governance discussions, security reviews, and technical strategy initiatives across the enterprise
Mentor engineers and promote engineering best practices, continuous improvement, and operational maturity across integration teams
Minimum Qualifications
8 to 12 years of experience in enterprise integration, cloud engineering, or platform engineering
Experience designing enterprise integration solutions using MuleSoft, Tibco, or similar middleware platforms
Hands-on experience with AWS serverless and integration technologies such as Lambda, API Gateway, Event Bridge, SQS/SNS, S3, Glue, Step Functions, DynamoDB, IAM, CloudWatch, and related AWS services
Extensive enterprise integration patterns including API-led connectivity, event-driven architecture, orchestration, transformation, retries, and error handling
