Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

 

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Cost Controller to join our Finance team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional to play a key role in driving financial performance and supporting strategic decision-making.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor, analyse and control costs to maximise profitability
  • Carry out monthly stock takes and analyse inventory discrepancies 
  • Manage and execute costing exercises for all different business types of food & beverage offerings in the hotel
  • Prepare financial reports
  • Track performance against budget and identify variances
  • Ensure accurate P&L reporting and strong financial controls
  • Support audits, compliance and internal procedures
  • Partner with operational teams to improve financial efficiency

 

Skills & qualifications:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to influence decision-making
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Previous experience in a similar role and experience in Birchstreet software are considered an asset. Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel is essential.
