Safety System Technician Assistant

GENERAL SUMMARY OF POSITION:  Under the general supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor or designee, the Safety System Technician Assistant installs, repairs, operates, tests, and modifies equipment used in supervised fire detection, notification and suppression systems throughout the University and off-site facilities. Has responsibility to insure a fire safe environment, provide proper training to all facilities staff members, maintains test and repair records.
