Job Description
Role: Senior Financial Analyst - AccountingStatus: Full Time, RegularReports to: Senior Manager, AccountingDepartment: Corporate FinanceLocation: MarkhamCompensation: $74,817 - $118,211Please note that the compensation range listed includes base salary and potential incentive pay. Incentives such as bonuses are not guaranteed and depend on individual performance and company results. Actual compensation within the range will be determined based on skills, experience, and qualifications.Summary:As the Senior Financial Analyst, Accounting and Operations you will be part of team who ensures completeness, accuracy, and adherence to internal controls.Responsibilities:
Preparation of monthly journal entries under tight month-end deadlines
Identify and resolve issues proactively
Perform Bank Reconciliation on monthly basis, and monitor daily bank activity for transaction exceptions
Ensure all accounts are fully supported, reviewed, and cleared on a timely basis
Drive clean-up of legacy issues and establish sustainable processes
Partner with the operations to understand transactions within the CRM system, and aid in their resolution
Participate in various sub projects for CRM system and process improvement initiatives
Work across SAP and Service Titan to ensure accuracy of financial data
Aid in creating SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for business processes within the CRM system
Improve data flows and reduce manual adjustments at month-end
Ad-hoc reporting / analysis as requiredAnalysis of assigned financial accounts during month end reviews; and implement accounting changes as required
Investigate variances, unusual trends, and reconciling items
Issue month end reporting on respective I/S and B/S accounts, as required
Provide support for the interim and year end audits
Prepare selected supplementary schedules and analysis for financial statements at quarter ends
Flexible in adapting to changing priorities.
Qualifications:
Accounting/Finance/Business Degree and professional accounting designation preferably a CPA;
Minimum of 5 years’ of business experience including bank reconciliations, financial analysis and reporting;
Proficiency with MS Office, specifically Word, Excel and Power Point;
Good written and verbal skills and ability to interact with all levels of management;
A self-starter with strong organizational skills, attention to detail and a focus on meeting deadlines and executing;
Good analytical skills and ability to prioritize under pressure.
