QA Lab Administration Technician

Department: Quality

Employment Type: Full Time

Location: New Braunfels, Texas

Reporting To: Manny Perez

Compensation: $18.00 / hour

Description

We are CURRENTLY seeking a phenomenal Quality Lab Tech to join our growing team!

To provide administrative support for ongoing product testing to ensure Customer Compliance.


Key Responsibilities

What does a typical day look like? I'm glad you asked!
  • Perform quality checks on incoming material 
  • Incoming C of A Supplier Verification based on incoming product quality checks 
  • Prepare C of A’s based on lab testing  and forward to the appropriate Customer base 
  • Outgoing C of A verification based on CGT Lab verification testing 
  • Internal production releasing based on in process data review 
  • Perform monthly audits with corrective action follow-up (as necessary) 
  • Conduct flammability testing on all automotive material 
  • Collect and file all process paperwork 
  • Input production test data into the proper format for Customer submission 
  • Compile SPC test data for all special and / or critical characteristics 
  • Retain and itemize test records, specimens, and lot retain samples 
  • Assemble and retain production packages for PPAP and master source submissions 
  • Other duties as assigned  
 


Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

What You Offer Us:
  • 3 years working in a Quality Lab role in an Automotive / Manufacturing environment
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office software
  • Knowledge of SAP in work environment
  • Knowledgeable in SQC pack with a broad understanding of SPC
  • Experience with working in an ISO/TS 16949, ISO 140001 environment
  • Ability to work independently while meeting the required timelines
  • Ability to understand testing standards, complete analytical testing, interpret data and write technical test reports
  • Exposure to working in a lab environment with knowledge of physical properties
  • Needs to be a team player with exceptional Organizational skills 
Working Conditions:
  • Usually work in plant and lab environment, but the mission of the organization may sometimes take them to non-standard workplaces
  • Standard work week, with overtime hours to accommodate activities as needed
