Job Summary
Incarnate Word Catholic School is seeking caring, dependable, and faith-filled individuals to serve as Nursery Aides in our IW Nursery. The nursery provides a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for the children of IW employees, ranging in age from 8 weeks to 5 years old. Nursery Aides support the physical, emotional, social, and spiritual well-being of children while fostering a warm and welcoming atmosphere that reflects the mission and values of our Catholic faith community.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide attentive and compassionate care for children ages 8 weeks to 5 years.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and nurturing environment at all times.
- Plan and assist with age-appropriate enrichment activities, including art projects, story time, music, sensory play, and creative play.
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities.
- Support children's social, emotional, and developmental growth through positive interactions and encouragement.
- Maintain a consistent daily routine, including snack time, rest time, and play time.
- Follow all nursery policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with nursery staff, parents, and school personnel.
- Model Christian values and contribute to a faith-centered environment.
Job Requirements
- Commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education.
- Experience working with young children preferred.
- Ability to create a warm, caring, and engaging environment for children.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Dependable, patient, and attentive to the needs of young children.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Must meet all required background screening and safe environment requirements.
