Job Title: Adjunct Teaching - School of Music - Musicology: 302, 601, 602 & 603

 

Posting End Date: Wednesday, July 1, 2026

Position Start Date: September 1, 2026

 

Required Degree: PhD in Musicology required.

The required degree must be completed by the start date. 

 

Experience: College Level teaching experience required

 

Duties/Expectations: 

  • This position is only for fall semester 2026
  • Firm commitment to the Mission and Aims of BYU
  • Firm commitment to the Mission of the School of Music
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Mentoring students and consulting as needed
  • Daytime teaching schedule including classes:
  • Music 302 (Music of the Baroque), and one of the following:
  • Music 601 (Medieval), Music 602 (Renaissance) or Music 603 (Baroque)
  • Participate in meetings and other School of Music assignments as needed
