Job Description:
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Signalling Engineer to join our team, working directly on board our railway systems. This role involves the electrical and mechanical design, direct inspection, maintenance, and troubleshooting of trainborne signalling equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations.
Job Responsibilities
- Design and implement the following components as part of the adaptation scope:
Switches, relays, and converters to interface GA ATP with existing vehicle functions (cabin controls, brake system). Pneumatic switches and valves for brake system integration.
- Mechanical structures (e.g., consoles) for mounting ATP units and associated cabling. Installation wiring, specific cables, and connectors resulting from the adaptation design.
- Execute Functional Application Design, including external logic required for vehicle integration, without altering GA ATP internal components or wiring.
- Ensure all requirements are met as per Vehicle Interface Specification, Wiring Diagram, and Installation Specification.
- Carry out Mechanical Application Design, defining placement and installation of ATP units, cabling, and components such as relays, switches, and valves.
- Prepare and maintain detailed design documentation for all adaptation activities.
Skills & Knowledge:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in railway signalling, with a significant portion of that experience involving on-board systems.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly articulate technical information.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic and challenging environment.
- Willingness to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and to travel as required.
- Possession of relevant railway safety certifications is highly desirable.
