Job Description


Major responsibilities:

• Order BOM preparation: Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM) for seals, spare parts, and repair kits.

• Drawing preparation: Develop part drawings, customer submission drawings, and pre-order drawings for non-KSB seals.

• Design coordination: Collaborate with the application team / KSB Germany Team for technical consultation on retrofit and new business opportunities.

• Seal modification evaluation: Assess ideas and requests for seal modifications based on market feedback and product management requirements.

• Complaint resolution: Attend and resolve site complaints jointly with the Service team.

• SAP data management: Maintain material master data in SAP for seals and subcomponents.

• Design calculations: Execute design calculations for mechanical seals.

• Order execution support: Provide technical support to ensure timely order execution.

• Supplier support: Offer technical guidance to suppliers and approve drawings for bought-out items.

• Customer/vendor visits: Travel to customer and vendor sites for technical discussions and measurements.

• Cross-functional interaction: Work closely with Sales and Product Management teams to drive product improvements.

Requirement profile:

Qualification and experience: -

Formal education: DME / BE Mechanical

Professional experience: Minimum 3-4 Years experience in mechanical seals, Pumps or related industries.

Knowledge / skills required: -

• Sound Knowledge of Pump and Mechanical Seal and its application.

• Knowledge of API Plans, industry standards.

• Knowledge of SAP R3 and MS-Office / MS-Excel/MS-PowerPoint

• Experience in Nx CAD, Auto CAD.

• Knowledge of Drawing standards and GD&T.

• Communication & Presentation Skill

• Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams.
