Role Summary:
The Forklift Operator is responsible for the loading, unloading and storing of customer freight in a safe and efficient manner.
Hours of Work:
- Sunday -Wednesday, 5:00am - 3:00pm (4 days, 10-hour shift)
- Sunday, Monday, Thursday, Friday, 5:00am - 3:00pm (4 days, 10-hour shift)

In this role, you will:
- Operate a forklift to safely load and unload freight from trucks
- Use pick sheets to determine which skids will be shipped
- Confirm that inbound freight is received by either scanning the product or completing inbound forms
- Verify the packing labels for accuracy of product being shipped
- Report any damaged freight or quality concerns to the Facility Supervisor
- Attend daily shift meetings and complete stretches
- Pick, sequence and pack product according to customer’s requirements using racks, carts, plastic totes, boxes or gaylords
- Manually unload products or empty racks from trailers
- Manually load freight into trailers
- Meet all efficiency requirements as determined by the SOP and the Warehouse Manager
- Performs other duties as required
Qualifications
We’re looking for someone who brings:
Education & Experience:
- Forklift license
- 1 to 2 years as propane forklift driver
- Experience in transportation is an asset
- Clear criminal record
- Ability to operate a forklift safely
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. repetitively
- Good time management skills
- Creative and effective problem-solving ability
