Role Summary
The Delivery Governance PMO Manager ensures execution discipline across Applications projects and service engagements. The role owns Day 1 readiness, project health governance, RAID quality, change control, service request governance, red-project recovery, Day 2 transition, customer feedback and lessons learned.
Role Mission
Improve delivery predictability, reduce red projects, strengthen customer confidence and ensure delivery teams operate with consistent governance discipline from project start through closure.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the Applications delivery governance framework, including project initiation, Day 1 readiness, RAID, RAG, change control, status reporting, steering governance and closure.
- Monitor project health across scope, schedule, cost, quality, resource, vendor, risk, customer sentiment and governance compliance.
- Run or coordinate delivery health reviews and red-project recovery boards with Delivery Directors, PMs, TMs, Finance, Resource Management and Account teams.
- Ensure each project has clear baseline scope, schedule, cost, roles, RAID, governance cadence, escalation path and change control process.
- Govern service request intake, estimation, prioritization, approval, tracking, SLA and closure where applicable.
- Ensure Day 2 readiness for transition to support, including runbooks, SLA, KT, hypercare exit, known issues and operational ownership.
- Capture customer feedback, delivery sentiment, escalation signals, renewal risks and delivery-led growth inputs.
- Drive lessons learned and root-cause analysis, feeding improvements back into Deal Assurance, estimation, resource planning and delivery methods.
Must-Have Experience and Skills
- Strong project delivery governance, PMO, project management or delivery assurance experience in IT/application delivery.
- Good understanding of project lifecycle, RAID, RAG, change control, governance forums, steering committees and delivery recovery.
- Ability to diagnose delivery issues objectively and drive recovery actions across cross-functional teams.
- Strong stakeholder management with PMs, Delivery Directors, Practice Leads, Finance, Sales and client-facing teams.
- Strong communication skills for executive status, escalation, recovery plans and client confidence narratives.
Preferred Experience
- PMP, PMI-ACP, PRINCE2 or equivalent project governance certification.
- Experience in red-project recovery, service transition, managed services or application support governance.
- Experience using Power BI, PPMS/project tools, Microsoft 365 and AI-assisted status or RAID workflows.
Tools and Platforms
- Microsoft 365: Teams, SharePoint, Lists, Planner, Forms and PowerPoint
- Excel and Power BI for reporting and analysis
- PPMS or equivalent project reporting platform, where applicable
- ChatGPT Enterprise for controlled productivity acceleration and analysis support
