Job Description
| The Pharmacy Supervisor will be responsible for the oversight of the daily operations of the inpatient pharmacy. This includes oversight of staffing, training/competence, safety, department processes, regulatory compliance, financial performance and accreditation. This includes development of policies and procedures and participation on performance improvement teams. |
Responsibilities
| (20%)* Ensures operational efficiency, employee and patient safety, and continuous quality improvement for the inpatient pharmacy. Participates on local and system committees and teams related to pharmacy services. (20%)* Responsible for oversight of pharmacy staffing, training/competence, productivity, scheduling and payroll. (20%)* Ensures pharmacy compliance with: all State and Federal laws and applicable regulations, health system policies, accreditation standards. (15%)* Performs employee evaluations, coaching, communication, fosters employee engagement and a high level of employee satisfaction. (10%)* Preceptor role for pharmacy students, interns, residents. (10%)* Develops policies and procedures for pharmacy and service line and provides staff education. Ensures compliance with all department and system policy, all regulatory rules, and accreditation standards. ( 5%)* Provides pharmacy staff coverage when needed. OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties and projects as assigned. |

| EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND SKILLS: Three to five years of hospital or leadership experience required.
Basic knowledge of personal computer.
Leadership skills needed to effectively lead a group.
Written and interpersonal skills needed to communicate successfully with individuals and groups and interact with people at all levels to communicate ideas and concepts in a clear and understandable manner.

Completion of an ASHP accredited residency program preferred. Master�s degree in business or administration preferred. Three (3) to five (5) years� experience working in a supervisor or administration pharmacy role preferred.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS AND TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Exposure to stressful situations, including those involving public contact, as well as trauma, grief and death.
Able to wear personal protective equipment that includes latex materials or appropriate substitute if required for your position.
Is able to move freely about facility with or without an assisted device and must be able to perform the functions of the job as outlined in the job description.
