About your team

The CASS Oversight team is responsible for ensuring the firm meets its regulatory obligations for safeguarding client assets. We provide governance, independent oversight, and technical guidance across operational areas to maintain a strong and resilient CASS Control Framework.  The remit of the CASS Oversight team spans governance, technical reviews, daily oversight activities, support for change delivery, and continuous improvement.

The Oversight team is responsible for supporting the oversight of key CASS processes, including producing critical CASS MI and dashboards that highlight key risks, exceptions, and control performance across the organisation. We host regular meetings with operational teams accountable for reconciliation items and outstanding actions that may impact CASS, ensuring timely resolution and strong ownership of CASS controls. We carry out thematic reviews of critical CASS processes and undertake evaluations of control design and effectiveness, alongside supporting Audit and Compliance Monitoring activities. In addition, we prepare monthly papers and updates for relevant forums and working groups, providing clear insight into CASS risks, themes, and performance metrics.

About your role

You will be responsible for a range of key oversight activities that support the effective operation of the CASS control environment. This includes performing daily oversight checks, reviewing exceptions and control outcomes, producing and interpreting CASS MI, and facilitating meetings with operational teams responsible for reconciliation activities and other CASS‑related actions.

A key part of the role will involve undertaking and supporting CASS thematic reviews, with a particular focus on assessing the design and operational effectiveness of critical CASS bulk processes across our capabilities. You will contribute to the planning, execution, and reporting of these reviews, helping to identify risks, assess control maturity, and recommend targeted improvements.

You will prepare high‑quality content for governance forums, draft monthly papers and updates, and present key insights where required. As part of your responsibilities, you will also work closely with our CASS Governance and technical teams to support regulatory obligations, drive enhancements to processes and controls, and evaluate emerging technologies that can strengthen the CASS control environment.

About you

You will bring strong knowledge or experience of CASS, operational risk, financial controls, or a related oversight discipline within Financial Services. You are confident working with data, analysing control issues, and producing clear, meaningful MI and reporting for stakeholders.

You communicate effectively, demonstrate excellent attention to detail, and are comfortable engaging with operational teams and senior stakeholders alike. You are proactive and organised, able to operate in a fast‑moving environment where accuracy, control focus, and accountability are essential. You are curious, willing to learn, and motivated to influence outcomes. Most importantly, you take ownership and contribute positively to the continuous improvement of the firm’s CASS control environment.
