Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities  

• Troubleshoot and repair machines  

• Reduce downtime of machines to support production demand 

• Design, engineer, and fabricate machine parts as required  

• Perform preventative maintenance on machines as scheduled  

• Meet with production leads and supervisors regarding operation of machines  

Additional Responsibilities  

• Basic PLC knowledge and troubleshooting 

• Assist in the maintenance and repair production equipment’s 

• Perform routine maintenance functions and adjustments to equipment’s 

• Responsible for shop cleanliness, safety and compliance 

• Follow Health, Safety, Environmental, Quality and Lean standards 

Interactions: All functional areas of Production  

Qualifications:

Work Experience and Education  

• High School diploma or equivalent level of education required 

• 5+ years of machine repair experience in Production setting 

• Prior experience performing preventative Maintenance on machines 

• Electrical experience 

• Pneumatic experience 

• Prior experience effectively trouble-shooting automation equipment 

Specific knowledge  

• Mechanical aptitude  

• Basic PLC knowledge and troubleshooting 

• Lift objects of various shapes, sizes and weights  

• Excellent listening skills and ability to follow instructions as well as provide directions on step-by-step repair process 

• Motivated, organized, eager to learn and possess a positive attitude toward the job 

Specific competencies   

• Motivated individuals who want to work and will show up to their scheduled shifts on time and excited and ready to work 

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail 

• Priorities setting capabilities, time management and flexibility 

• Trouble shooting and learning 

• Strong communication skills
