Overview of the role
We are looking for one (1) Full-Time Bartender.
The Bartender at the Epicurean Hotel is responsible for creating exceptional guest experiences by serving beverages, offering extensive knowledge of cocktails, wines, and spirits, and providing superior customer service. The ideal candidate will have a passion for mixology, a friendly and welcoming demeanor, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. As an ambassador of the Epicurean Hotel’s culinary philosophy, the Bartender will contribute to maintaining a memorable and refined atmosphere for all patrons.
What you have
High School diploma or equivalent
Two (2) years of bartending experience in a high-end or fast-paced restaurant or hotel setting.
Strong knowledge of mixology techniques, cocktail recipes, and wine/spirit pairings.
Must possess excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests and team members.
Able to handle a high-volume environment with a positive attitude and quick thinking.
TIPS (Training for Intervention Procedures) or similar responsible alcohol service certification preferred.
Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
Availability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Experience working in a luxury hotel or fine dining restaurant is a plus.
What you’ll do
Prepare a wide variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to recipe standards and guest specifications. Demonstrate knowledge of craft cocktails, beer, wine, and spirits.
Provide exceptional and personalized guest service, engaging with customers to make recommendations, answer questions, and ensure satisfaction with every order.
Adhere to all food and beverage regulations, including responsible alcohol service, health and safety guidelines, and hotel policies.
Assist in tracking and maintaining bar stock levels, ensuring timely replenishment of ingredients, glassware, and other supplies.
Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar area throughout the shift, including workstations, utensils, and bar equipment.
Work seamlessly with bar staff, servers, and kitchen team to ensure smooth operations and timely service.
Offer informed recommendations to enhance guest experiences, including upselling premium options and menu pairings.
Accurately manage guest tabs, process payments, and balance cash drawers at the end of each shift.
Assist with private events, themed nights, and other hotel programming requiring bar service.
