Job Description:

Schedule: Full Time Day Shift

Hours: 8:00am- 5:00pm, Monday - Friday

Location: In home visits covering Volusia and Flagler Counties.

• Ensures patient comfort and safety during care activities.
• Monitors and reports patient progress to health professionals.
• Assists Home Health patients with activities of daily living such as bathing and personal care.
• Helps Home Health patients with instrumental activities of daily living including meal preparation, grocery shopping, housework, laundry, and telephone use.
• Provides orientation and training for newly hired staff.
• Maintains accurate patient records and adheres to care protocols.  
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Must be proficient in the English language. [Required]
• Reliable transportation. [Required]
• Must be able to read and write in English. [Required]
• Demonstrates basic computer skills. [Required]
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements [Preferred].
• Sympathetic attitude toward care of the sick. [Required]
• Ability to communicate effectively in English. [Required]
• Ability to follow directions and deal effectively with job demands. [Required]
• Successful completion of a Home Health Aide competency evaluation. [Required]
• Demonstrated knowledge of home health aide services/tasks. [Required]

• Team and customer service oriented. [Required]

Education:

• High School Grad or Equiv [Required]
• Technical/Vocational School [Required]

Field of Study:

• Completion of a minimum of seventy-five (75) hours of documented home health aide training with at least sixteen (16) hours of supervised practical training by a qualified RN covering essential care skills and knowledge areas.

Work Experience:

• 1+ employment experience as a nurse's aide in an institutional setting. [Required]
• Home Care experience [Preferred]

• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required] 
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS) [Preferred] 
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support Cert (PALS) [Preferred]

• Auto Insurance (AL) [Required]
• Home Health Aide (HHAIDE) [Required] OR Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) [Required]

$15.87 - $25.38
