Job Description

Title - Sales Engineer Location - St Louis, MO (Hybrid) We’re seeking a Sales Engineer with a strong technical background and a passion for designing impactful solutions that drive customer success. This role is a key part of our sales organization, supporting revenue growth and delivering exceptional customer experiences. Key Responsibilities Pre-Sales & Solution Design Engage with prospects to assess network needs and design tailored solutions. Deliver technical presentations and product demos (e.g., SD-WAN, Firewall, Hosted Voice, Cloud). Collaborate with Sales to develop strategies that leverage Segra’s fiber infrastructure. Ensure proposed solutions align with Segra’s network capabilities and implementation standards. Train and educate the sales team on Segra’s products, services, and industry trends. Post-Sales & Technical Support Gather technical documentation and collaborate with customer and internal teams post-sale. Act as a liaison between Sales, Product Management, and Engineering to share field insights. Create network diagrams and detailed scopes of work for customer and internal use. Provide ongoing technical consultation to foster long-term customer relationships. Qualifications 3–5 years of experience in telecommunications or a related technical field. Strong presentation, communication, and listening skills. Solid understanding of network transport delivery and design. Experience with WAN, MPLS, SD-WAN, Cloud Services, Firewall, UCaaS, SIP Trunking, PRI, and Wi-Fi. Industry certifications in Route/Switch, Cybersecurity, or Data Center/Cloud technologies.
