As a Manufacturing & Process Engineering Support Technician, you will provide crucial technical assistance to the engineering team, ensuring the smooth operation and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes.

Job Description

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist process engineers in the development, implementation, and optimization of manufacturing processes.

  • Conduct tests, collect data, and perform preliminary analysis on process parameters and product performance.

  • Operate and maintain a variety of laboratory and production equipment, including calibration and troubleshooting.

  • Prepare detailed documentation, including test reports, process specifications, and work instructions.

  • Collaborate with production personnel to identify and resolve process-related issues, ensuring quality and efficiency.

  • Support the implementation of Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment, adhering to all company safety protocols.

  • Order and manage inventory of supplies and materials required for process engineering activities.

  • Assist in the training of production operators on new processes or equipment.

  • Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action planning for process deviations.


Job Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent with 3+ years of experience or Associate's degree in Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Technology, or a related technical field.

  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with hands-on troubleshooting skills.

  • Proficiency in using common hand tools, measuring instruments, and basic lab equipment.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and process flow diagrams.

  • Familiarity with data collection and analysis software (e.g., Microsoft Excel).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.

  • 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing or process engineering support role, preferably in an FDA/ISO 13485 regulated environment.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly document procedures and findings.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

  • Familiarity with Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles is a plus.
