Job Description

Overview: This team member will go above and beyond guests expectations and provide assistance and services for guests in order to ensure pleasurable accommodations.   Essential Functions  To arrange bookings, reconfirmation of airline tickets etc.  Be fully acquainted with the different points of interest.  Assist in arranging for restaurant reservations and limousines as required by our guests.  Ensure the delivery of parcels, faxes, mail, special deliveries, etc. to guestrooms.  Ensure that the public areas (lobby) are maintained, clean and tidy by partnering with Housekeeping Department.  Interact with other departments to ensure that guests’ needs are satisfied.  Follow-up with guests and hotel departments to see that problems are resolved.  Speak with guests in a friendly, warm manner making them feel welcome to the hotel.  Proactively work to seek out ways in which to improve the hotel experience for our guests.  Handle special requests i.e. flowers, telegrams, telexes, rental cars, luggage, etc.  Arrange interpreters, public stenographers, and sight-seeing tours advising of quality shopping areas  Display ability to stand and move for long periods of time as guest flow dictates  Display ability to reliably accommodate varied shift schedule. To assist in the transport and storage of guests luggage when doorman requests Knowledge about daily events happening within each hotel. Responsible for a clean and “smart” appearance of uniforms. Call taxi for guests as needed. Direct guests to the Front Desk. Inform leaders of any challenges in the process.  Accept other special duties as required by management. To be thoroughly acquainted with all check-in procedures and policies. Demonstrate complete knowledge of the Front Desk functions Demonstrate complete knowledge of Reservations functions Demonstrate complete knowledge of all PBX functions to assist in peak times   Qualifications Previous luxury hotel experience is required. Must be able to work a flexible schedule and willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Ability to stand for the entire scheduled shift. Customer service oriented, ability to multi-task, detail orientation, and excellent organizational skills needed. Knowledge of the surrounding area and all of its attractions. Knowledge of Property Management Systems and related computer programs Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Software.
