Repair Technician

Main tasks (non-exhaustive list):

• Troubleshoot and repair electronic technology equipment to board level and main system components, using measurements and testing devices, soldering techniques, software utilities/tools and various hand tools.

• Repair Arc Welding equipment components such as power supplies wire feeders, torches, and battery chargers

• Software commissioning and system integration

• Assembly of welding systems

• Provide email and telephone support for welding related repairs to internal technical colleagues as well as external repair partners.

• Documenting of repairs for R&D

• Job Requirements:

• Technologist or Technician diploma in Electronics Engineering program with at least 3 years of experience

• Bench level component troubleshooting and problem-solving experience

• Strong organizational and attention to detail skills

• Ability to work well in a team environment

• Willing to learn how to solve complex hardware and software problems through analytical problem solving and troubleshooting techniques and procedures

• Experienced with using various MS office programs:  MS Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point

NICE TO HAVE:

• Experience with welding systems is an asset

• Bilingual (French English or German English) is an asset

• Knowledge of working with ERP / SAP (BAAN) an asset
