Position Summary:
Ingram Micro is seeking a skilled AWS Migration Engineer to support cloud transformation initiatives, including migration of on-premise workloads to AWS. The role involves planning, designing, and executing migration strategies while ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Cloud Migration & Implementation
- Plan and execute end-to-end migration of applications, data, and infrastructure to AWS.
- Use AWS migration services such as:
- AWS Migration Hub
- AWS Application Migration Service (MGN)
- AWS Database Migration Service (DMS)
- Perform lift-and-shift, re-platforming, or re-architecture migrations.
2. Assessment & Planning
- Conduct application and infrastructure assessments to determine cloud readiness.
- Define migration strategies and roadmaps (7Rs: Rehost, Refactor, Replatform, etc.).
- Estimate migration efforts, costs, and timelines.
3. Architecture & Design
- Design scalable, secure, and resilient AWS architectures.
- Implement cloud infrastructure using:
- EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM
- Ensure compliance with AWS Well-Architected Framework.
4. Automation & DevOps
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using:
- AWS CloudFormation or Terraform
- Automate deployment workflows using CI/CD tools.
5. Performance & Optimization
- Monitor workloads and optimize performance using: CloudWatch, AWS Trusted Advisor
- Ensure cost optimization using AWS best practices.
6. Security & Compliance
- Implement AWS security best practices:
- IAM roles/policies
- Encryption (KMS)
- Network security (Security Groups, NACLs)
- Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
7. Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
- Work with cross-functional teams (developers, network, security).
- Provide technical guidance and documentation.
- Support clients/end users during migration.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Skills
- Strong experience with AWS core services (EC2, S3, RDS, VPC).
- Hands-on experience in cloud migration projects.
- Knowledge of networking concepts (subnets, routing, VPNs).
- Experience with databases (SQL/NoSQL migrations).
- Familiarity with Linux/Windows server administration.
Tools & Technologies
- AWS Migration Tools (MGN, DMS)
- IaC tools (Terraform / CloudFormation)
- CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
- Monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Datadog)
Preferred Qualifications
- AWS Certifications:
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate/Professional
- AWS Certified SysOps Administrator
- Experience in hybrid cloud or multi-cloud environments.
- Exposure to containerization (Docker, Kubernetes/EKS).
- Scripting knowledge (Python, Bash).

Experience
- Typically, 3–7+ years in cloud engineering or IT infrastructure roles.
- Prior experience in migration or transformation projects is highly preferred.
