What You’ll Do
The PACS/QA Coordinator is responsible for supporting the PACS Manager with daily operations and oversight of the PACS application and associated systems. This position also supports quality assurance and quality control activities in multiple modalities across all imaging locations to ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards and departmental/system policies. This position has occasional direct patient care responsibilities and access to confidential employee, patient, financial and organizational information and funds appropriated to Radiology services.
Minimum Qualifications Required Educational Degree:
Graduate of an Accredited Program in Major/Area of Concentration: Radiologic Technology, Nuclear Medicine or Sonography
Preferred Education: Required Certifications, Credentials and Licenses: RT, CNMT or RDMS with Current Ohio License and ARRT credentials as applicable. Escalation training within 6 months.
Preferred Certifications, Credentials and Licenses:
Required Experience: 3-5 years’ experience in Imaging
Preferred Experience: Multi-Modality Imaging Job Specific Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Basic PC knowledge and troubleshooting skills
Job Specific Essential Functions
• Assist PACS Administrator with day-to-day operations of the PACS system and associated peripheral systems. Ensure PACS is operating at peak capacity by monitoring interfaces, job logs and error logs.
• Perform problem study resolution for all imaging locations across the system
• Assist with hardware/software troubleshooting and act as liaison between clinical team and vendor for issue resolution and new equipment installations as needed
• Work with modality leaders to ensure accurate and complete records of departmental competencies and department QA/QC, as well as accurate and complete equipment records related to areas of oversight
• Work with Team Leads to assist in oversight of QC test procedure completion • Assist imaging sites with ODH inspection prep and conduct scheduled site audits for inspection readiness as an individual responsible for radiation protection (IRRP).
• Conduct new end-user PACS training upon hire and following application upgrades as needed
• Demonstrate job performance consistent with the mission, vision and core values of the health system
