SSI Schaefer, a global shelving, racking and automated material handling equipment manufacturer, is looking for a Indirect (Channel) Regional Sales Manager for the western part of the United StatesWe are looking for someone driven to develop their pipeline and hunt out new opportunitiesIf you are also looking for an attractive employer to work with on a long-term basis, then simply get to know us.


Essential Job Duties:


Indirect Sales & Business Development

  • Develop and expand relationships with vendors, system integrators, distributors, consultants, and strategic partners.
  • Identify, qualify, and drive new warehouse automation and intralogistics opportunities through indirect sales channels.
  • Execute territory growth plans and achieve assigned revenue targets.
  • Generate and manage opportunities through prospecting, networking, industry events, and CRM tools.
  • Support opportunities from qualification through proposal development, negotiation, and close.

Solution Development & Partner Engagement

  • Collaborate with vendors and channel partners to identify automation opportunities and operational improvements.
  • Position solutions by demonstrating productivity, efficiency, and ROI benefits.
  • Work with engineering and project teams to develop commercially and technically sound proposals.
  • Deliver product training, presentations, and sales enablement programs to partners.
  • Support successful project execution and partner satisfaction throughout the sales process.

Market Development & Relationship Management

  • Build strong relationships with vendors, channel partners, and key stakeholders.
  • Conduct joint business planning and partner development activities to drive growth.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and emerging technologies in intralogistics and warehouse automation.
  • Provide market intelligence and partner feedback to support business strategy.
  • Identify new partnership and market expansion opportunities.
  • Align cross-functional strategies to minimize customer order cancellations by analyzing trends, documenting root causes, and implementing corrective actions that improve customer retention and operational performance.

 

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of B2B sales experience in intralogistics, warehouse automation, material handling, or industrial automation.
  • Experience managing relationships with vendors, system integrators, distributors, dealers, or other indirect sales channels.
  • Proven success in business development, channel sales, and achieving revenue targets.
  • Strong consultative selling, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems (Salesforce, SAP, etc.), Microsoft Office, and willingness to travel up to 50%.
