Junior AI Concept Designer

Summary:

• Ship small, useful tools fast — using AI as your primary coding partner — to help Angel attract and serve the next wave of filmmakers.

What You’ll Build:

• Script Read tool — let filmmakers submit scripts for structured AI feedback and human reviewer routing

• Trailer Tester — capture audience reactions to trailers and surface signal back to filmmakers

• Screener portal — secure, time-boxed screening links with viewer feedback capture

• Pilot testing tools — quick-turn experiments to validate concepts before larger investment

• Other filmmaker-facing prototypes as opportunities surface

How You’ll Work:

• AI-first: Claude Code, Cursor, Replit, v0, or your tool of choice — you drive the AI, not the other way around

• Ship a working prototype in days, not weeks

• Iterate live with real filmmakers as your test users

• Hand off mature tools to senior engineering when they outgrow prototype scale

• Partner with Angel's existing platform team (content backend, auth, video infra)

• Must attend and contribute to regularly scheduled staff meetings.

• Proficiency in speaking, reading and writing in the English language required.  Additional language proficiency is a plus. 

Competencies:

• Vibe coding experience

• An exceptional listener with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.

• Detail-oriented perspective and able to pick up on overlooked details.

• Organization and time management. 

• Able to maintain confidentiality of information.

• Must be able to manage multiple assignments, set priorities, and adapt to changing conditions.

• Resourceful and able to problem-solve and manage tasks with ambiguity. 

• Willing to perform an array of tasks both in and out of the office.

• Can take feedback to tasks and assignments positively and create better solutions.

• A quick study, able to pick up new skills and learn how to use new programs.

• Must participate in setting and achieving regularly scheduled and outlined objectives. 

• Ability to take individual ownership, execute with high energy, share context, insist on candor with positive intent.

 

Work environment - When in the main office, expect a comfortable, air-conditioned work environment. Team members are issued their own desks, but the office is an open, shared space and can be fast-paced and occasionally noisy.

Physical demands - Must be able to sit or stand at a desk for extended periods of time. 

Position type and expected hours of work - Part-time, 15-30 hours per week.

Work authorization - Must be authorized to work in the United States. 

 

Required education and experience:

• High school diploma 

• Some college coursework or equivalent experience

• Hands-on experience building with AI tools (vibe coding, prompt-based development, or similar)

Preferred education and experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Product Design, or related field
