The GT QC Inspector is responsible for inspecting incoming gas turbine component sets to assess condition, define repair requirements, and support spare parts identification, while also conducting in-process and final inspections throughout the repair cycle. This role is critical to ensuring safe, compliant, and high-quality execution, improving SQDC performance, and partnering as one team across operations and engineering to deliver the best outcomes for our customers.Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Perform incoming, in-process and final inspections on gas turbine components in line with approved requirements, drawings, and work instructions
Verify dimensional, visual, and documentation compliance prior to release
Identify, document, and control non-conformances; escalate issues that impact Safety, Quality, Delivery, or Cost (SQDC)
Partner closely with production, engineering, and planning teams to support daily execution and flow within the Gas Turbine Cell
Ensure inspection records, traceability, and quality documentation are completed accurately and on time
Confirm inspection tools and gauges are fit for use and within calibration requirements
Participate in daily operations reviews, problem solving, and continuous improvement activities to strengthen SQDC performance
Follow all EHS and compliance requirements across the repair facility
Required Qualifications
- Diploma in Mechanical engineering or/and Quality or a relevant field from an accredited university or college, or / and a high school degree with relevant work experience or / and a technical certification.
- Minimum 3 years of Gas Turbine inspection experience in a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated commitment to GE Vernova Life Saving Rules, EHS standards, and all site safety requirements
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions
Experience using standard measuring and inspection tools
Desired Characteristics
Fluent in written and spoken English
Good knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS)
Good knowledge of non-conformance processes
Demonstrated accountability and learning agility in a technical inspection environment
Experience supporting root cause analysis and corrective actions
