Commercial Flooring Estimator

We’re seeking a Commercial Flooring Estimator / Planner to join our Custom Design Studio in Cartersville, GA. This role plays a critical part in bringing customer projects to life—translating architectural plans into accurate material estimates, installation plans, and production-ready layouts. You’ll partner closely with sales, design, and project teams to ensure every project is executed with precision—from concept through installation.

Primary Responsibilities: 

• Interpret architectural drawings and specifications to determine material requirements and installation layouts 

• Perform material takeoffs and develop accurate project estimates using estimating tools 

• Create detailed installation and seaming diagrams using AutoCAD and related software 

• Develop manufacturing layouts for custom flooring applications (rugs, runners, panels, borders, etc.) 

• Collaborate with project managers, designers, and sales to deliver complete project solutions 

• Prepare and maintain organized project documentation, estimate packages, and revisions 

• Conduct quality checks to ensure accuracy across all deliverables 

Requirements:

• High School Diploma/GED

• 1+ years of experience in estimating, drafting, or construction-related roles 

• Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or Revit 

• Ability to read and interpret architectural plans and specifications 

• Strong mathematical and measurement skills (scaling, fractions, geometry) 

• Experience performing material takeoffs or quantity calculations 

• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 

• Ability to work onsite in Cartersville, GA at least 3 days per week 

Preferred: 

• 4+ years of estimating or planning experience 

• Experience in commercial flooring, construction, or interior projects 

• Exposure to Adobe Creative Suite (e.g., Photoshop) 

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Interior Design, or related field 

• Experience working with CRM or project systems (e.g., Salesforce)
