EMEA Logistics Specialist (m/f/*)

This role is responsible for leading and optimizing international freight operations across the EMEA region, ensuring reliable, cost-efficient, and high-quality end-to-end delivery. The position plays a key role in driving carrier performance, strengthening logistics capabilities, and enabling continuous improvement of transportation networks in alignment with global standards and regional business needs.

Leading and managing strategic logistics and transportation projects across EMEA, ensuring alignment with cost, service, and cycle time objectives.
Overseeing end-to-end transportation operations through structured project governance, including performance tracking, risk mitigation, and escalation management.
Driving execution of cross-functional logistics initiatives, coordinating stakeholders to improve inbound and outbound flows and overall delivery reliability.
Managing carrier and 3PL performance within a project framework, including SLA definition, KPI monitoring, and continuous performance reviews.
Leading continuous improvement and optimization projects, focusing on transit reliability, lead time reduction, and cost efficiency.
Leveraging data analytics and reporting to support decision-making, identify gaps, and deliver measurable supply chain improvements.
Partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver sourcing projects, logistics transformation initiatives, and governance programs.
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who meet following minimum requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or higher, completed and verified before start date.
Minimum 10 years of experience in international transportation and logistics, including project or program management exposure, within a manufacturing environment.
Proven experience in managing carrier and 3PL relationships within structured performance and governance frameworks.
Strong background in data-driven project delivery, including KPI management and continuous improvement methodologies.
Solid understanding of end-to-end supply chain operations, including inbound/outbound logistics and hazardous goods handling.
Demonstrated project leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills in a global, matrix environment.
Fluent in English
Preferred Skills
Experience leading transportation sourcing (RFQs/RFPs) and cost optimization projects.
Knowledge of global trade practices, Incoterms, and logistics data governance within project environments.
Advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities, including network optimization and modeling.
Strong sense of ownership, adaptability, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, global setting.
Job specifics:
Travel - May include up to 10% domestic/international
Relocation: Not authorized
This role has on-site working model, with the employee working at least four days a week in the designated 3M office
